Social Media Explained

Making money these days involves being on the web. Almost every business knows that. But many business owners I meet don’t really know what to do once they get a website. Many web designers leave them high and dry. “Here’s your site. Isn’t it great!”

So what’s next. Well it turns out that a website is not enough anymore. You need a blog too. And if you want to capture leads you better also be involved in social media. Over the next few months we hope to bring you all the resources your business needs from “how to” videos to experts that can answer your questions. So let’s start by viewing this excellent video on Social Media by Upsidedown Iceberg.

PPC Alternative

Web marketers unite! Let me get this out of the way right away: the sales page for Zero Friction Marketing is not much fun. It’s a great system, but the sales page beats you to death with the same points repeatedly. I completely agree that advertising on Google can be frustrating. I am a veteran of AdWords and it takes patience and some times a lot of money to get results. I will talk about that in a later post. You can also spend a lot of money advertising on MSN and Bing. The difference here is that Saj, the author of Zero Friction Marketing has made a study of making money on MSN using CPA or cost per action. I had never even heard of this technique until recently and it requires a step by step guide to scoop up the profits from this unusual method. But if everybody was doing it, it would probably be hard to make money using it. So having a detailed explanation of the system is necessary. Why should we trust it and try it? Well, for one thing it’s guaranteed. If you don’t like it you can get a refund. And you already know that PPC on Google is painful. Now there’s an alternative that promises another way to get huge conversions. Just don’t spend too much time on the ZFM sales page. Give the system a try and let me know what you think.

Web Marketing Motherload

I found this system called Maverick Money Makers on Clickbank. And like most web marketing plays it promises riches. In fact it gives you 60 days to try it out with a money back option. The really impressive thing about MMM is the depth of the knowledge and support you get when you join. It would be difficult to use all the tips and tricks offered here, but for somebody serious about establishing a viable internet business, this is what you need. Don’t kid yourself, it takes some work and a lot of knowledge. MMM even gives you support for asking questions when you run into a problem. And like any other business there will be times when you need advice and a helping hand. I’ve dabbled in a lot of home business solutions, there just isn’t another one that has this level of strategy and experience to offer. In the last 8 years I’ve made some good money on the net, but I’m always looking for a better way. This promises to have everything you or anyone else needs to get going and keep going on the web. Check out the sales page and give it a shot. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. And if you are, just get your money back. It’s a safe bet.

A System That Works

You hear a lot about “viral Marketing” but what is it really, and how do you make it work? I’ve been interested in the concept for a long time but have not been able to get those little critters started. I mean not only is my computer virus free, so are my marketing efforts. I recently found a pretty sweet source to help me with this strategy. Samantha Milner who runs a thriving internet business offers this guide to making viral marketing understandable and profitable. Well, you might be saying to yourself, there are lots of those books on viral marketing, why should I buy this one? The answer is that Samantha is for real. She actually helps people make money with web-based business. You will not make a million dollars in two weeks, but if you follow the steps in her Viral Profit Plan, you should be able to start earning money quickly. How much is up to you. But the significant thing is, her plan is honest, realistic, and it works. How many other internet marketing guides can make this claim and back it up. So check it out and start creating an online business that you can count on, even when you are on vacation. Here is Samantha’s way of explaining it.

Make 2009 A Great Year

I just had lunch with a designer friend and we were talking about, you guessed it, the economy. I told him that my wife and I had made an agreement not to talk negatively about the economy and not to be a part of doomsday discussions. We further agreed that we would avoid watching negative news. As I explained in an earlier post, the recovery starts with us, with our attitudes. One innovation I am recommending is making a stand on the web with a video about your company. Video not only helps with your search engine results, it is a chance to let your customers know how you can help them make 2009 a great year. Happy 2009!

Promoting Your Business Now

Some of my readers already have a business. If that’s you, we need to talk. Promoting a small business is something I know a lot about. I have been a small business owner for over 20 years. More importantly, I’ve worked in advertising as a graphic designer and web marketing specialist. But I think this economy is so different, it requires a new promotion strategy. For example, the old method of flooding the market with mailers, brochures and TV spots is not going to work very well. People are making fewer frivolous purchases. They know what they want and need; and they are saving money for those items and services. That’s why offering them something they don’t really want is a waste of time. So how can you reach these new economy customers?

Find out what they want. The answer is online. Now that’s not to say that every other type of advertising is worthless, it’s just that companies also need to learn more about their customers. And this is more true every day, because young families are very is web-savy.

It’s possible to learn an amazing amount about your customer’s behavior by using the tools on Google and a few other widgets. Then you can apply this knowledge to your website provided it’s search friendly. I will sharing a lot of tips and tricks about online promotion over the next few weeks, so if you are feeling lost I can help. In fact, I’m planning an e-book that will be your roadmap in this new territory. For now, take a look at your website and see if it’s up to par. Then do a few Google searches with words you think your customer might use to find you. If your site doesn’t show up near the top, you’ve got some work to do.
